Wailuku First Friday returns with a vibrant “Spring Fling,” bringing the community together for an evening of Maui-made shopping, food, and live local entertainment in the heart of Wailuku Town. Entertainment features Namaka Pauole and Joshua Kahula.

Wailuku First Friday returns on Friday, Feb. 6, 2026, from 6 to 9 p.m., with a vibrant Chinese Lunar New Year celebration, highlighted by a traditional Lion Dance performance by Tao Style Martial Arts Academy. This free, family-friendly event brings together music, culture, food, art, and community in the heart of historic Wailuku Town.

Wailuku First Friday will kick off the new year on Friday, Jan. 2, from 6 to 9 p.m. The free event transforms historic Wailuku Town into a family-friendly celebration of music, culture, art and community.

About 1,300 Maui residents and visitors ran and walked in last weekend’s 13th annual Maui 5K, raising nearly $70,000 for Maui Nui schools.
