There are two public aerial fireworks displays planned in Maui County this year–in South Maui at the Grand Wailea Resort, and at the Four Seasons Resort Lānaʻi at 1 Mānele Bay Road. Both displays begin at approximately 11:59 p.m., New Yearʻs Eve, Dec. 31, 2023.

The Maui Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in preventing fires and injuries by being aware of surroundings and the hazards of fireworks during the upcoming Fourth of July holiday.  

The Maui Police Department announced it will be conducting firework enforcement operations in addition to sobriety checkpoints over the New Year’s weekend.

Tonight’s public fireworks display in Lahaina begins at approximately 8 p.m., with fireworks to be launched from an offshore barge along Front Street.

There are two public aerial displays planned this year–one on July 2 as part of the 26th Annual Lānaʻi Pineapple Festival, and the other on July 4, as part of the Lahaina Fourth of July Fireworks celebration.

The sale of 4th of July fireworks on Maui began on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 and ends on Monday, July 4, 2016 at 8 p.m.

A single public fireworks display is planned this year on Maui at 8 p.m. on the 4th of July from a barge offshore of Front Street in Lahaina.

There will be three public fireworks displays in Maui County to ring in the New Year, each beginning at midnight.

In addition to fireworks, the 12th Annual event includes a new Front Street Food Fair with Maui merchants and entertainment.
