AlohaCare awarded academic scholarships to 11 students on Oʻahu, Maui and Hawaiʻi Island, who are pursuing an education in healthcare and social services. As part of its mission to support local workforce development, AlohaCare’s Giving Program provided scholarships ranging from $2,500 to $5,000 for a total of $50,000.

To help celebrate World Health Day on April 7, nonprofit healthcare plan AlohaCare has pledged to donate $1 million this year through its Imua Loa giving program, which supports community organizations and future healthcare workers to help improve the health and well-being of our community. 

With contributions of $300,000 to benefit 20 organizations throughout the islands, AlohaCare has launched its newly named community giving program called Imua Loa.

Technology company Unite Us has partnered with Kaiser Permanente and the nonprofit AlohaCare to create Unite Hawaiʻi, the first coordinated care network throughout the state that connects local communities to critical health and social services.

AlohaCare, Hawai’i’s only community-led Medicaid and dual eligible Medicare health insurer, has entered into a 3-year pharmacy benefits management agreement with IngenioRx, starting July 1, 2021.

AlohaCare has appointed interim CEO Francoise Culley-Trotman as its permanent chief executive officer.
