Haʻikū Community Association will host its second public meeting of 2025 on Wednesday, May 14, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Haʻikū Community Center, on Hāna Highway.

The Haʻikū Community Association is inviting the community to a special 20th anniversary celebration of Kalakupua Playground, at “Giggle Hill,” this Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025, from 10 a.m. to noon at the playground in Haʻikū. This event also doubles as the first public meeting of the year for the Haʻikū Community Association, promising a day of family-friendly activities, community connections and updates on community projects.

Haʻikū Community Association will sponsor a Candidate’s Night this Wednesday, Sept. 25 at the Haʻikū Community Center. Doors will open at 6 p.m., and the meeting will run from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

The community grant partnership between the HCA and the Nuestro Futuro Foundation totaled nine grants as part of their Disaster Relief Fund following the March flooding.

The Haʻikū Community Association is offering grants of up to $300 to Haʻikū community members who were affected by the flooding in March. The funds will help assist members to recover from the damages caused by the flooding.

A GoFundMe account has been set up to raise funds for restoration and repairs of the Kalakapua Playground at Giggle Hill in Haiku, Maui.

A drive-thru food distribution event will be held on Friday, Nov. 6, 2020 between 9 to 11 a.m. at the Kalanikahua Hou Chuch in Haʻikū. The food drive is open to the public and attendees are requested to reserve a bag and time slot online or by texting (808) 385-3176.

The Ha‘ikū Community Association will host a virtual town hall from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2020 via Zoom or Facebook Live. The town hall meeting will focus on helping Ha‘ikū residents better understand the effects of the Maui Water Use and Development Plan.

The Ha’ikū Community Association (HCA) will host an online Candidate Forum Wednesday July 8, 2020 virtually on Zoom. The meeting will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The meeting theme is “What’s Up in Haʻikū?” and will feature updates on local infrastructure and community projects from county officials and local community members.
