The Summit District of Haleakalā National Park reopened to the public at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 12, after two days of closure due to unsafe road conditions and power outages.

Haleakalā Summit Wind Advisory Cancelled

The National Weather Service has cancelled the wind advisory for the summits of Haleakalā, Mauna Loa, and Mauna Kea.Forecasters say winds over the volcanoes are diminishing, and the advisory is no longer needed.
