Hawaiian Electric employee campaign raised over $330,000 for local charities in 2025
In support of families and communities in need across its five-island service areas, Hawaiian Electric employees and the IBEW Local 1260 together raised more than $330,000 for Aloha United Way, Hawaiʻi Island United Way and local food banks during a workplace campaign in 2025.
Electrical Workers and Plumbers and Fitters back Sugimura for Mayor
Yuki Lei Sugimura, Maui County Council Vice-Chair and candidate for Mayor, announced that she has secured the endorsement of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 1260, and the Plumbers and Fitters UA Local 675.
HECO employees, retirees raise over $423K for local United Way agencies
Guided by the theme “Lōkahi,” meaning unity and harmony, Hawaiian Electric employees, retirees and IBEW Local 1260 came together to raise more than $423,000 during a workplace campaign in 2024 to benefit Aloha United Way and Hawaiʻi Island United Way. The funds will support critical programs and services aimed at strengthening communities across the state.
