Imua Family Services has once again been named one of Hawaiʻi’s Best Places to Work by Hawaiʻi Business Magazine, marking the 15th time the nonprofit organization has earned this distinguished recognition. The honor highlights Imua’s enduring commitment to cultivating a workplace culture where employees feel valued, supported, and inspired to make a difference.

For its fifth year in a row, Imua Family Services is once again hosting its annual Keiki Halloween Festival. The family-friendly fun runs from 4 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025 at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center. This free community celebration is designed especially for children ages eight and under and promises to be an evening packed with Halloween magic.

The three weeks of Camp Discovery start on Monday, July 8, 2024, with families having the option to register for individual weeks or all three weeks together. Each camp will take place at Will Smith Imua Discovery Garden in Wailuku and will cater to preschool-age children, between the ages of 3 and 5. Camp registration fees are weekly, with assistance available for families facing economic challenges and/or affected by last year’s fires.

Imua Family Services has once again been named one of Hawaiʻi’s Best Places to Work, according to a new ranking issued by Hawaii Business Magazine. The publication bestowed the honor on Imua for a 13th time.

The show raised more than $45,000 to support Hawaiʻi educators and maintain high-quality education for keiki. 

In order to minimize exposure risk and to support social distancing, Imua Family Services is transitioning its therapeutic early intervention services throughout Maui County from in-person home visitation to telepractice or phone conferencing.  This went into effect on Monday, March 23, 2020.

The event raises vital funds for early childhood development programs and services that meet the diverse needs of Maui County’s children with disabilities and developmental delays.

Imua Family Services hosts their Halloween Edition of Battle of the Bosses on Monday, Oct. 28 at Mulligan’s on the Blue in Wailea from 6 to 10 p.m.

The Color Festival Hawaiʻi celebrates it’s second year at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center when doors open on Saturday, April 13.

Imua Family Services hosts an Early Childhood Development Conference on Saturday March 9, 2019 at 8 a.m. at the organization’s offices in Kahului.

The National Association of Nonprofit Organizations and Executives announced the appointment of Imua Family Services’ Dean Wong to their 2017 Board of Governors

Imua Family Services will expand in the New Year by opening a new location in Lahaina. The non-profit organization provides early child development and programs.
