The Haʻikū Community Association hosts a Holiday Pizza Party for its year-end meeting of 2023 on Wednesday, Dec. 20 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Haʻikū Community Center.
Ka’apuni Completes 193 Mile Journey with Renewed Faith
The Ka’apuni marchers completed a 193 mile trek abound Maui with renewed faith and hope for the future. In closing out the seven day journey, event organizer Ke’eaumoku Kapu reflected upon the kupuna and ancestors who he said serve as a source of light for the next generation.

Motorists traveling on the Honoapiilani Highway today are advised to use extra caution as marchers in a week-long journey around the island make their way toward their final destination in West Maui.
Nearly 200 Show up for Evening Leg of Ka’apuni in N. Kihei
Nearly 200 people joined in the week-long Kaapuni procession as it reached North Kihei last night. Much of the energy for the day was focused on the U.S. Supreme Court hearing over ceded lands.

Ka’apuni Update Day 1: 20 Hours into Walk, Saturday 2/21/09 8 p.m.
The torch lit procession for unity in the Native Hawaiian Community is rounding out its first full day of walking. The journey started at Moku’ula in Lahaina at midnight on Friday and by 7 o’clock tonight was exiting the West Maui Mountains.
