The 153rd Annual King Kamehameha Day holiday will be observed with festivities statewide. This year’s celebration theme is “E Hoʻomau – Celebrating Mary Kawena Pukui.” On Maui, Nā King Kamehameha Commemorative Pāʻū Parade and Hoʻolauleʻa will take place on June 21, 2025.

The 2024 Nā Kamehameha Commemorative Pā‘ū Parade and Ho‘olaule‘a will take place on Saturday, June 15, 2024. Due to the recent fires in Lahaina, this year’s commemoration has been relocated to Central Maui. The parade will proceed down Ka‘ahumanu Ave. and conclude at Queen Ka‘ahumanu Center. 

Awards for Saturday’s Nā Kamehameha Commemorative Pāʻū Parade, held in Lahaina, Maui, were announced. The event theme this year, “E ala e nā kini o ka ʻāina!” is translated as “Arise all people of the land!”

The 2023 Nā Kamehameha Commemorative Pā‘ū Parade and Ho‘olaule‘a is scheduled for Saturday, June 17, 2023, celebrating the theme “E ala e nā kini o ka ʻāina!” – Arise all people of the land! The deadline to submit an application is May 26, 2023. 

The Royal Order of Kamehameha I – Kahekili Chapter IV on Maui commemorates the life of Kamehameha the Great in a procession in Kahului this morning.

US Senator Mazie K. Hirono (D-Hawaii) joined members of Hawaii’s Congressional Delegation and the Hawaii State Society to celebrate and honor King Kamehameha I at the 50th Annual Kamehameha Day Lei Draping.

The Lahaina Restoration Foundation is hosting a free Kamehameha Day Celebration in West Maui at the Historic Baldwin Museum on Tuesday, June 11 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Lahaina celebrated King Kamehameha I with its annual parade along Front Street on Saturday, June 16, 2018, which embraced the theme “Ola ke aloha no nā aliʻi – The love for our aliʻi lives on.”

A celebratory Pa’u Parade and Ho’olaulea honoring the Kamehameha line will take place this coming weekend in West Maui.

The Moki Kalanikau Regatta, hosted by Kīhei Canoe Club, is Maui County Hawaiian Canoe Association’s 2nd of 7 summer regattas with 8 canoe clubs completing.

In observance of King Kamehameha Day on Maui, the Royal Order of Kamehameha hosts a march beginning at 9 a.m. from the University of Hawaiʻi Maui College to Hoaloha Park. A separate observance is planned this weekend in West Maui. Nā Kamehameha Commemorative Pāʻū Parade & Hoʻolauleʻa is planned from 9 a.m. to sunset on Saturday, June 15.
