MEO Offices are Open; Head Start, Kahi Kamali‘i are Closed Due to Weather

Maui Economic Opportunity offices in Wailuku, Molokaʻi and Lānaʻi are open on Monday, Dec. 6, but Head Start preschools and the Kahi Kamali‘i Infant/Toddler Center are closed due to the severe weekend storm.

The Department of Land and Natural Resources, Division of Forestry and Wildlife will briefly close the Keʻanae Arboretum on March 29-30 for tree removal.

Waiko Road Tree Removal Work to Affect Traffic

Traffic along West Waiko Road will be affected by tree removal work on Jan. 11 to 15, 2016. The area will not be completely closed off, but traffic will be stopped intermittently between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. on each of those days.

Finance Offices, DMVL Closed Thursday for Staff Training

The Department of Finance will close all of its divisions and all DMVL Satellite offices (Lāna‘i, Moloka‘i, Lahaina, Pukalani, Hāna and Kīhei) on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015, to conduct staff training.

BREAKING: Pi‘ilani Highway Closed Due to Fire

At 2:15 p.m., the Maui County road notification alert system announced that Pi‘ilani Highway between Uwapo Road and Ohukai Road in Kīhei has been closed because of limited visibility due to smoke from a nearby fire.
