Duckine Restaurant in Lahaina is teaming up with award-winning chef Alvin Savella and Maui Cookie Lady to offer a special dessert collaboration for the month of April.

Mitzi Toro, owner of the Maui Cookie Lady in Makawao, is being honored with the US Small Business Administration’s 2022 woman-owned business of the year award for Maui County at a May 6 ceremony in Honolulu.

Among the winners were: Heidi Watanabe, Feed My Sheep, Mitzi Toro, Angela Leone, and Ryan Ouye.

Mitzi Toro, local teacher, Maui Food Innovation Center graduate and The Maui Cookie Lady owner, was featured on Good Morning America for her business start-up story.
