In a historic day for surfing, Tyler Wright of Australia won the Maui Pro presented by ROXY, the first women’s World Surf League Championship Tour competition to ever take place at the legendary Banzai Pipeline on Oʻahu’s North Shore. Meantime, Haleʻiwa native John John Florence of Hawaiʻi won the Billabong Pipe Masters.

Surfer Ian Walsh from Maui won the 2015 HIC Pro, presented by Vans, exactly ten years after his maiden victory. Fellow Maui surfer Billy Kemper took 2nd place, Kaito Kino from Oʻahu placed 3rd and Jack Robinson from Australia landed in 4th.
