On Saturday a total of 2,105 people arrived in Hawaiʻi, according to new data compiled by the Hawaiʻi Tourism Authority. Here on Maui, 103 people arrived on three trans-Pacific flights, including: 18 visitors, 58 returning residents, nine individuals planning to relocated to Hawaiʻi and 18 crew members.
Maui Trans-Pacific Flights Increase to Four on Saturday
Here on Maui, a total of 146 people arrived on four trans-Pacific flights, including: 62 returning residents, 37 visitors, 22 individuals planning to relocate to Hawaiʻi, 24 crew members and one individual in transit to another location.

The number of out-of-state travelers to Hawaiʻi continues to climb with more than 1,200 people arriving in Hawaiʻi on Saturday. That included 369 visitors and 373 returning residents. There were no trans-Pacific flights to Maui on Saturday.

On Maui, 34 people arrived on a single trans-Pacific flight, including 15 residents, 11 visitors, seven crew members and one intended resident.
Maui’s Trans-Pacific Flight Schedule Reduced to Four West Coast Flights Per Week
“I believe it is the scheduling of the airlines that made that happen… But there is a concerted effort to cut down to as little as possible Trans-Pacific flights to our island and to Kauaʻi and Hawaiʻi Island. However, there will be–as far as I know–four flights a week to Maui County,” said Mayor Victorino.
