Utility work to periodically close one lane on Honoapi‘ilani Highway, March 9-13
Sections of the right northbound lane of Honoapi‘ilani Highway between Fleming Road and the intersection at Kāʻanapali Parkway/Hālelo Street may be intermittently closed from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., from Monday, March 9 to Friday, March 13 and from Monday, March 16 to Friday, March 20, for roving Hawaiian Telcom utility work. One lane will be open for through traffic.
Sept. 16: Utility work to impact traffic on Haleakalā Highway near Dairy Road
To maintain safe and reliable service, Hawaiian Electric will be working to upgrade equipment on Haleakalā Highway, between Koloa Street and Dairy Road, on Tuesday, Sept. 16, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. For the safety of the public and crews, the work requires the partial closure of the makai (ocean-side) lane of Haleakalā Highway in this area.
Overnight utility work to affect Honoapiʻilani Highway traffic from Māʻalaea Bay Place to McGregor Point, Nov. 25-27 and Dec. 2-7
Hawaiian Electric will be installing equipment upgrades overnight that may impact traffic between Mā‘alaea Bay Place and McGregor Point heading toward West Maui from Nov. 25-27 and again from Dec. 2-7.
Utility work to impact traffic on Honoapi‘ilani near Kā‘anapali Parkway, Oct. 17
To maintain reliable service, Hawaiian Electric crews will be conducting work for equipment upgrades using bucket trucks on Honoapi‘ilani Highway between mile markers 23 and 24 near Halelo St. across of the Kā‘anapali Parkway in the West Maui area on Thursday, Oct. 17, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The work involves installation of advanced meter equipment and will impact area traffic during this time. No service interruptions are planned for this work.
Overnight utility work to impact traffic on Honoapi‘ilani near Kā‘anapali Parkway, Sept. 29-30
Hawaiian Electric crews will be conducting overnight work for equipment upgrades using bucket trucks on Honoapi‘ilani Highway between mile markers 23 and 24 near Halelo Street across of the Kā‘anapali Parkway in the West Maui area on Sunday, Sept. 29 at 8 p.m. to Monday, Sept. 30 at 6 a.m. The work is being done to maintain reliable service and involves a pole replacement. Work will impact area traffic during this time. No service interruptions are planned for this work.
Utility work to impact traffic on Dairy Road
To ensure reliable service, maintenance utility pole work that will impact area traffic along Dairy Road fronting the Maui Marketplace in Kahului will take place today, Tuesday, Aug. 13, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. No service interruptions are planned for this work. The work was originally scheduled for Aug. 5 and 6.
Utility work to impact traffic on Honoapiʻilani Highway near Ukumehame Beach Park on July 8
To maintain reliable service, Hawaiian Electric crews will be making routine equipment upgrades using bucket trucks along Honoapi‘ilani Highway between mile markers 12 and 13 near Ukumehame Beach Park in the West Maui area on Monday, July 8, impacting area traffic from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. No service interruptions are planned for this work.
Canceled: Utility work required momentary road closure on Hāna Highway, April 13
A momentary road closure on Hāna Highway, between mile markers 10 and 12, on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 is canceled and traffic will no longer be impacted for utility work taking place due to a modified helicopter route and staging area.
