Central Maui Senior Little League reached the end of their World Series journey, earning the No. 2 spot in the US. The Maui boys came within one win of the US title and two wins of the World Series title, but fell to Cherry Hill, New Jersey in a 12-2 loss on Friday afternoon.

This morning’s 4-0 win against South Carolina, puts the Maui boys within one win of a US title, and within two wins of a World Series title. Central Maui Little League senior team will appear in a 1:30 p.m. game today for the US title against New Jersey.

The Central Maui Little League senior team advanced to the Senior League World Series tournament taking place in South Carolina.  

Maui’s Kurt Suzuki is still on an emotional high from Wednesday’s World Series win.  The Baldwin High School graduate took a moment to catch up with Maui fans via Kanoa Leahey’s “Lets Talk Sports” program on ESPN Maui 900 AM.

A World Series journey has come to an end for the Central East Maui Little League Team after a 9-5 loss to the Eastbank Little League of Louisiana.

Friends and family gathered at Kahului Airport to welcome home Maui’s Intermediate World Series Champs, the Central Maui Little League All-Stars.

The Central Maui Little League All-Star team returns this afternoon to Kahului Airport at 4:31 p.m. on United Flight 539 from San Francisco, CA.

The Maui Big League All-Stars play for the world title in the Big League World Series today after winning the national title on Monday. (The game will be aired live on ESPN2 at 8 p.m. EDT, 2 p.m. Hawaiʻi time.)
