Maui Police Department Kīhei Patrol officers responded to the Mā‘alaea Boat Harbor on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2014, at approximately 11:44 a.m. due to a report that the snorkel boat Mahana Nai‘a, carrying 52 passengers and three crew members, was taking on water.
