Looking Ahead
As a frontal system sags toward the state, trade winds are forecast to slowly weaken with a land and sea breeze pattern taking over and becoming more prevalent. Light background easterly winds are expected to still bring clouds and showers for windward spots from time to time. Afternoon clouds and showers are expected over interior and leeward areas from Sunday through much of next week.
Today & Sunday
We expect east winds around 15 mph on Saturday and becoming light and variable from Saturday night into Sunday. Partly sunny skies with scattered showers for windward and mauka spots. Mostly sunny skies for leeward areas. Temperatures up to 86° to 91°. Sunday, afternoon clouds and showers are expected for leeward and interior spots. Muggier conditions are forecast as we move into Sunday.
