The 10th Annual Maui ‘Ukulele Festival is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 11, from 1 to 6 p.m. in the A&B Amphitheater at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center in Kahului.

The Hard RockCafe Maui will host eight nights of live music fundraisers for the Pacific Cancer Foundation beginning Oct. 11. A percentage of the proceeds from the Annual Halloween Dance Party on Halloween night will also go to the foundation.

Enrollment is now open for artists and serious art students interested intensive plein air workshops to be offered in February 2016, hosted by the Maui Art League. The Maui Arts League is the sponsor of the Maui Plein Air Painting Invitational.

The Maui Celebrity Series continues with its founder, Brian Evans, performing classics and original big band songs on Saturday, Oct. 24, in The Maui Ballroom at the Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa in Lahaina.

A celebration to mark the 12th Anniversary of George Kahumoku Jr’s Slack Key Show – Masters of Hawaiian Music, takes place on Wednesday, Oct. 14, at the Nāpili Kai Beach Resort Pavilion in West Maui

Local cultural icon Kumu Kimokeo Kapahulehua will be honored with the Hui o Waʻa Kaulua’s Legacy Award at The King Kamehameha Golf Club in Wailuku on Saturday, Oct. 3 at 6 p.m. The event includes dinner, a fashion show, polynesian crafters and a musical performance by Amy Hānaialiʻi Gilliom, Willie K and Steve Grimes.

The Maui AIDS Foundation will host its 5th Annual Halloween Fundraiser, “Creatures of the Night,” at Kono’s on the Green in Kīhei on Oct. 23, from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. The public is invited to come in costume, dance under the full moon and raise money for a great cause at this 21-and-over event.

Cameron “Cami” Delatori Brown was named the 2015 Baby of the Year at the contest held Saturday at the 93rd Maui Fair. As the newly crowned Baby of the Year, Cameron won a weekend getaway to the Westin Kāʻanapali Ocean Resort Villas.
