Kuihelani Highway Accident

Emergency crews are responding to a motor vehicle accident on the Kuihelani Highway on Maui. As of 7:37 p.m. on Monday, June 25, 2018. Several cars were reportedly involved. In the video clip above, one vehicle can be seen against a tree where it apparently came to rest. Motorists can expect delays in the area.

Planned Parenthood Announces Services for Transgender Patients

Governor Ige Intends to Veto 11 Measures

Gov. David Ige has notified legislative leaders and key lawmakers of his Intent to Veto list, which includes 11 measures. The Hawai‘i State Constitution requires the governor to notify the Legislature of the Intent to Veto list no later than the 35th day after adjournment, which is June 25.

A sign waving rally is planned on Maui on Saturday, June 30, 2018 to support the reunification of migrant children with their parents.  The Maui event will take place at 10 a.m. at the corner of Puʻunēnē, and is part of a worldwide day of rallies planned.

Maui Sewer Rate Increase Effective July 1, 2018

Maui’s sewer user fee will increase by an average of 3%, effective July 1, 2018. Single family residential customers will see a maximum increase of $2.22 per month.
