Brush Fire Burns in Fallow Pāʻia Sugar Cane Field
When Pāʻia firefighters arrived at 3:55 p.m., just over a half-acre of mixed brush and cane were burning in a fallow sugar cane field to the east of Baldwin Park.

Water Feature and Tram Part of Kahului Airport’s Rent-A-Car Facility

County Purchases Waiakoa Gym for Kula Community
The Waiakoa Gym was built as the result of community donations back in the 1930s and the county began leasing it in 1970. “For many Upcountry residents, the gym has as much sentimental value as it does practical use,” county officials said in a press release.
