Customers in Upper Kula are asked to conserve water today due to a power outage in the Olinda area. Booster pumps at the Department of Water Supply are also down and the DWS will not be able to pump water up to the Upper Kula storage tanks until power is restored.

East Maui Power Restored
Maui Electric Company crews continue to investigate the cause of a power outage in East Maui that knocked out electricity for about 23 minutes this afternoon. The outage was first reported at 1:17 p.m., and all areas affected by the outage had power restored by 1:40 p.m., according to company officials.
