Choice Healthy Kitchen + Juice Bar, formerly known as Choice Health Bar, has officially opened its newest location at Wailea Village Shopping Center, marking the beloved Maui-born brand’s fourth restaurant on the island.

A multi-room music and art event called Cosmic Soirée will light up Fuzion Fit in Haʻikū this Saturday night, bringing together more than a dozen DJs, live performances and a community-driven mission to give back.

Choice Health Bar makes a comeback to the Westside, reopening their location at Whalers Village in Kāʻanapali this week. The Whalers Village location is open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Choice Health Bar opened in Lahaina on April 11, 2011. With no former restaurant experience but a whole lot of passion, co-owners Kathryn Dahm and Emily Kunz managed to create a casual organic eatery with strong community values.

During a time when the shelter is well over capacity, Maui Humane Society is teaming up with Choice Health Bar to offer adoption incentives through the month of March. This month, adoption fees are waived and every adoption includes a $10 gift certificate to Choice Health Bar, a plant-based restaurant with locations in Pāʻia, Lahaina and Kāʻanapali, according to a news release.

Choice Health Bar on Maui has partnered with West Maui Green Cycle as the first business on Maui to compost to-go containers at the facility. West Maui Green Waste is Maui’s first commercial composting facility that is permitted by the Department of Health to complete the intended cycle of compostable food ware products. 

HuiZero launches, Maui’s first zero waste to-go container program, on Friday, Oct. 8, 2021 at participating restaurants across Maui. 

In a community-based response to a global crisis, a years-long dream was realized in just three weeks, with the launch of the Maui Food Hub, under the direction of the Hawai’i Farmers Union United, and in collaboration with farmers and non-profit organizations across Maui. 

Among her stops was at the local woman-owned small business, the Choice Health Bar, which recently opened its newest location in Pāʻia.
