Free COVID-19 testing still available
In partnership with the County of Maui, Minit Medical Urgent Care continues to offer free testing for COVID-19 at locations in Kahului, Kīhei and Lahaina. The reminder was issued today by the County of Maui amid rising case counts.

COVID-19 Testing at Minit Medical on Maui Surges to Over 1,000 per Week
Minit Medical went from testing a couple of hundred people per week in July to testing close to 1,000 this week alone. That does not include testing that is conducted at other sites/providers throughout the county, which are also reporting heavy demand.

Hawai‘i Rural Hospitals to Receive $2.5 Million for COVID-19 Testing, Mitigation
Ten small rural hospitals in Hawai‘i – those with fewer than 50 beds and Critical Access Hospitals – will receive $2,583,760 in new federal funding from the American Rescue Plan. This includes funding in Maui County for Kula Hospital, the Lānaʻi Community Hospital and Molokaʻi General Hospital.
