Wailuku First Friday returns on Friday, Feb. 6, 2026, from 6 to 9 p.m., with a vibrant Chinese Lunar New Year celebration, highlighted by a traditional Lion Dance performance by Tao Style Martial Arts Academy. This free, family-friendly event brings together music, culture, food, art, and community in the heart of historic Wailuku Town.

Wailuku First Friday returns on Friday, Sept. 5, 2025, from 6 to 9 p.m., ushering in the Festivals of Aloha with a vibrant evening dedicated to community, culture and connection to the land. The evening’s live entertainment includes the celebrated trio, Ei Nei.

Get ready for the return of Wailuku First Friday’s hottest event, Uptown Getdown 11, happening Friday, Aug. 1, 2025, from 6 to 9 p.m. This free, family-friendly street festival delivers an exciting blend of music, culture, food and community.

The Wailuku First Friday street party on Sept. 6, 2024 kick’s-off the two month Hawaiian Showcase “Festivals of Aloha.” The event, from 6 to 9 p.m., features entertainment by Maui Music Mission, Te Ohi Nui and Hālau Keola Aliʻi O Kekai. The Hammah House Band celebrates their release of the single “Like Mehk,” with music on the Market St. Stage.

The event will be held on Friday along the historic Market Street from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The street will be closed beginning at 5:30 p.m. 

This weekʻs Wailuku First Friday town party, “Fall for Wailuku,” will be held on Oct. 4 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the historic Market Street.

Wailuku Town and First Hawaiian Bank welcomes five-time Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award winner, Kaumakaiwa Kanaka‘ole along with Shawn Pimental at First Friday, tonight!
