Class of 2025 high school graduation ceremonies scheduled

The Hawai‘i State Department of Education has announced graduation ceremony dates, times and locations for the Class of 2025.  

They left Maui for college. Now they’re set on coming home and giving back.

“I hope there’s changes that can come in our economy that benefits its people first and not necessarily just how much money can you make from it,” Cowell said. “I hope people who are moving there and who are buying space there can acknowledge and realize how that is such a privilege. And that unfortunately there are people who cannot and will never be able to afford the spaces that they are occupying at this time.”

“I would just say we’re a very persistent and resilient class,” senior Lola Donez said Sunday. “We’ve literally been through it all I guess, and we’re still standing, we’re still here graduating. We still accomplished what every other high school student accomplishes when they graduate — we just kind of had to go through a lot more hardships.”

UH Maui College holds first commencement since Maui wildfires

The University of Hawaiʻi Maui College held its first commencement since the Maui wildfires on Thursday on the Great Lawn of the campus in Kahului. About 220 of 450 graduates participated in the ceremony under the theme “resilience.”

Class of 2024 high school graduation schedule released for Hawaiʻi public schools

High school graduation ceremonies have been scheduled for the Class of 2024 with date, time and location information listed below. “We are so proud of our Class of 2024 graduates,” Superintendent Keith Hayashi said. “Through your dedication and years of hard work, you have gained the knowledge and skills needed to be globally competitive and locally committed. We hope you will always be working toward improving Hawaiʻi’s future and we cannot wait to see what you do on your journey ahead.”

2013 Maui Public School Graduation Dates

Here on Maui, the first graduation ceremony will be for students at King Kekaulike High School at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, at the School Stadium. The Maui events wrap up with a graduation for Kīhei Charter School on May 24 at 5 p.m. at the Wailea Marriott, Kahoʻolawe Lawn.
