Maui Land & Pineapple to host Hāliʻimaile Bay Market on Valentine’s Day
Nearly 30 local vendors will return to Hāliʻimaile this Valentine’s Day as Maui Land & Pineapple Company hosts its monthly Hāliʻimaile Bay Market, offering a wide selection of Maui-made foods, desserts, crafts and gifts. Returning favorites and new vendors will feature baked goods and treats, handmade jewelry, apparel, specialty foods, ice cream and other locally made products.

Maui Land & Pineapple Company, Inc. (NYSE: MLP) welcomes Soulberry Ice Cream to Hāliʻimaile, expanding the lineup of local, community-focused businesses in the heart of Upcountry. Operated by Maui resident Kaitlyn Dasler and her family, Soulberry serves made-to-order real fruit ice cream, blending premium, Maui made ice cream with fresh fruit for a creamy, colorful swirl that highlights Maui-grown ingredients and flavors.
Update: Maui Flood Advisory extended to 1:30 p.m.
The National Weather Service has extended a Flood Advisory for the island of Maui until 1:30 p.m. At 11:13 a.m., radar continued to show heavy rain over north facing slopes of Haleakalā, including the Hāna Highway.
Upcountry Maui water shortage downgraded to Stage 1
Following recent rainfall that improved surface water flows and replenished reservoirs, the County of Maui Department of Water Supply (DWS) is suspending the Stage 2 Upcountry water shortage and downgrading it to a Stage 1, effective immediately and until further notice.

The County of Maui Department of Water Supply is now using backup supply for the Upcountry water system starting today, Sept. 11, 2025, after receiving approval by the Hawaiʻi Department of Health, Safe Drinking Water Branch to reintroduce water from Hamakuapoko Wells 1 and 2.

Due to existing and projected water shortages, the County of Maui Department of Water Supply will introduce backup supply to the Upcountry water system that serves Upper and Lower Kula, Makawao, Pukalani, Hāliʻimaile and Haʻikū on or around Sept. 5, 2025.
