Hua Momona Foundation is taking the annual Maui Music and Food Experience fundraiser to the mainland on Nov. 7 at the Copernicus Center’s Gateway Theater in Chicago.

Due to overwhelming demand, The Hua Momona Foundation is bringing the Maui Music & Food Experience to the Continent with a newly announced show in Chicago on Nov. 7 at the Copernicus Center’s Gateway Theater. The concert will bring together renowned musicians and world-class chefs to celebrate the aloha spirit and support the Hua Momona Foundation’s continued work across Maui.

The Hua Momona Foundation has announced the second annual Maui Music & Food Experience, taking place from Aug. 15 to Aug. 16 at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa in Kāʻanapali.

Hua Momona Foundation has announced its musical lineup for the inaugural Maui Music & Food Experience, taking place from Sept. 5-7, 2024. The event will feature a host of acclaimed musicians, including special guest Mick Fleetwood of Fleetwood Mac. This multi-night celebration of music and culinary arts will raise crucial funding for food, housing and mental health support for survivors of the August 2023 Lahaina fire.

The inaugural Maui Music & Food Experience will launch at three locations Sept. 5-7, the Hua Momona Foundation announced.

Maui United Way stepped in today to provide emergency stop-gap funding to a hui of organizations led by Common Ground Collective dedicated to feeding vulnerable fire-impacted families on Maui’s West Side while also providing a boost to local farmers.

Gary Grube, founder and President of the Hua Momona Foundation said food insecurity isn’t the only issue families face. “Ongoing instability of income, healthcare, and housing is also weighing on westside families,” he said.

Shonnan Kozuch was hired as the new executive director of the Hua Momona Foundation, which provides food to those with food insecurity on Maui.

Hua Momona Farm, located high atop Kapalua, has launched Hua Momona Foundation, a non-profit that will provide food to those in need on Maui and introduce Maui’s youth to modern agriculture techniques relating to the growing and production of food.
