High Surf Warning until 6 p.m. Friday

A High Surf Warning is in effect for the north facing shores of Maui and the north and west facing shores of Molokaʻi due to elevated surf building to 8 to 12 feet along impacted shores. 

Surf expected to build to 25-35 feet along north shores

Surf is rapidly building to 25 to 35 feet along north facing shores and 18 to 24 feet along west facing shores today, according to the Maui Emergency Management Agency.

High Surf Advisory Until 6 p.m. Wednesday

Surf is expected to be in the 7-10 foot range today along the east facing shoes of Maui, Molokaʻi, Hawaiʻi Island, Oʻahu and Kauaʻi.

High Surf Advisory Issued For Maui, Molokaʻi

Surf is expected to reach 6 to 9 feet today, and lower to 5 to 8 feet tonight.

7-10 Foot Surf Forecast for East Shores

Surf of 7 to 10 feet is expected along the East facing shores of Maui and Molokaʻi, resulting in a high surf advisory, in effect until 6 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 14, 2020.

Maui, Molokaʻi Shores Under High Surf Warning

The warning is expected to remain in effect until 6 p.m. on Sunday, according to the National Weather Service. 

High Surf Warning Extended to Friday Morning

A high surf warning has been extended to 6 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 24, for the North and West facing shores of Molokaʻi and the North facing shores of Maui.  

Elevated East Shore Surf Through Thursday

Surf along affected shoes will be 8 to 12 feet through Wednesday, lowering to 6 to 10 feet Wednesday night. Forecast surf heights are estimates of the height of the face or front of waves.

Warning: 10-15 Foot Surf for East Shores of Maui and Moloka‘i

Surf of 10 to 15 feet is in the forecast for the east shores of Maui and Molokaʻi, prompting a high surf warning until 6 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020.

8-12 Foot Surf Forecast for East Shores

Surf is expected to be in the 6 to 10 foot range, rising to 8 to 12 feet on Wednesday, and building further into Thursday, according to the NWS.  

Maui, Molokaʻi Shores to See ʻDangerous, Battering Wavesʻ

Surf along the north-facing shores of Maui and Molokaʻi is expected to reach 18 to 25 feet this afternoon and continue until 6 p.m. tomorrow, the National Weather Service warned. 

Warning Level Surf Building Off Maui, Molokaʻi

A large, long-period northwest swell could carry 12 to 18 foot waves to the north and west-facing shores of Molokaʻi, Oʻahu, Kauaʻi, and Niʻihau, as well as Mauiʻs north shore this evening, the National Weather Service advised. 

Blustery Winds, High Surf Expected for Maui County

Motorists are urged to drive with caution. Officials are advising inexperienced swimmers to remain off beaches and beachfront areas.
