Kamehameha Schools Children’s Chorus hosted a free community concert Friday night at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center. The concert, He Leo Aloha No Maui, drew nearly a thousand people to “share the gift of mele to bring healing and hope to the people of Maui,” according to the organizers. Children from the Children’s Chorus sang “O Lahaina, E Hoi Ka Nani” during the event.

The Kamehameha Maui Hawaiian Ensemble presents Kealakupuna: Ancestral Pathways, an evening of mele and dance, on Saturday, Feb. 11 for an evening of mele and dance.

The Festivals of Aloha heads to Wailea with events scheduled from Oct. 28-30, 2022 at the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea.

Beginning this Sunday, the Maui Ocean Center will host its first-ever Wai. Kai Week, a celebration of wai (freshwater and kai (saltwater) that will include a series of informational events and activities for the whole family.

Maui duo, Kahālāwai, featuring Joshua Kahula and Pi‘ilani Arias, take the stage at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center on June 2, for their debut CD release party. 

Kalani Peʻa picked up his second GRAMMY award tonight, this time for his sophomore album, No ʻAneʻi, which released in August.

Kalani Pe’a will be a presenter at the 2019 GRAMMY Awards Premiere Ceremony. Pe’a was the 2017 GRAMMY award winner for his debut album “E Walea.”

Kalani Pe’a’s sophomore release (Aug. 10, 2018) titled “No ‘Ane’i” (We Belong Here); and Aloha From Nā Hoa from the group Nā Hoa are among the five nominees in the category.

Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award-winning entertainer Ikaika Blackburn, will perform at the free Hawaiian Music Series concert on Sept. 29th at the Baldwin Home Museum.
