Salvation Army to Host Meal Distribution in Kahului and Lahaina before Thanksgiving

On Maui, the Salvation Army Kahului Corps and the University of Hawaiʻi Maui College will share in distributing 600 Thanksgiving meals via a drive-thru distribution starting at 11 a.m., while supplies last, at UHMC on Wednesday, Nov. 24. In West Maui, the Salvation Army Lahaina Lighthouse Corps, with the assistance of other local congregations, will be providing home delivered Thanksgiving Lunches to 300 Kupuna on Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2021.

The Salvation Army Seeks Back to School Supplies for Maui Keiki

The Salvation Army is seeking back-to-school supplies for keiki-in-need with supply drives being held on Maui, Hawaiʻi Island, Kauaʻi, and Oahu this summer. The Maui drive runs until July 16 at drop-off spots in Kahului, Lahaina, and Wailuku.

The Salvation Army in Hawaii received more than $110,000 in grants and donations to support its outreach programs, including summer feeding programs for the organization’s neighbor island corps in Kahului and Lahaina on Maui. The monetary support for the organization will help continue its outreach efforts to help the community as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact Hawai’i’s economy and its residents.
