The Maui Police Department issued 68 citations for face mask violations between Feb. 27 and March 1. The enforcement included 54 citations issued in Lahaina over the weekend and 14 citations in Kīhei on Monday.

There were 35 new COVID-19 cases reported in Hawai‘i on Tuesday, including 18 on O‘ahu, 13 on Maui, three on Hawai‘i Island, and two in Hawai‘i residents diagnosed out-of-state.

The federal VAMS (Vaccine Administration Management System) portal for the Maui Health Vaccination Clinic has officially reopened.

This includes 28,080 doses of Pfizer vaccines, 27,300 doses of Moderna vaccines, and 11,900 doses of the newly approved Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

The US Food and Drug Administration today granted Emergency Use Authorization for Johnson & Johnson’s COVID-19 vaccination.

There were 106 COVID-19 cases reported in Hawai‘i on Saturday, including 23 on O‘ahu, three on Hawai‘i Island, and five in Hawai‘i residents diagnosed out-of-state. There were also 75 cases attributed to Maui, including 31 which are from the past and predate Feb. 18.
