Vehicles Thefts on Maui Nov. 20 to 26, 2011

There were 10 vehicle thefts on Maui in the seven day period between November 20 and 26, 2011. Four of the incidents were in Kihei. The rest of the car thefts were spread throughout the island with individual incidents reported in Haiku, Kahului, Lahaina, Napili, Waiehu and Wailea.

Vehicles Break-ins on Maui Nov. 20 to 26, 2011

There were a total of seven vehicle break-ins on Maui over a seven day period between November 20 and 26, 2011. Five of the incidents were in Kahului, with one case each in Lahaina and Wailuku. Most of the incidents were reported at public places including malls, businesses and public parking lots.

16 Maui Burglaries Reported Nov. 20 to 26, 2011

Maui police responded to 16 residential burglaries over a seven day period, between November 20 and 26, 2011. The incidents included three cases in Pukalani, and two cases each in Makawao and Waiehu.

Vehicles Thefts on Maui Nov. 13 to 19, 2011

Four of the incidents were in Kihei, and there were two each in Lahaina and Wailuku. There were also reports of stolen vehicles in Kahului, Kula, Napili, and Pukalani. Four of the vehicles stolen have since been recovered.

There were three incidents in Kahului, and once case each in Haiku, Kula and Paia. Most of the incidents were reported at public places including malls, businesses and public parking lots. Types of vehicles involved in the various island incidents included two Dodge Chargers, and a variety of other vehicles.

Maui police responded to 10 residential burglaries over a seven day period, between November 13 and 19, 2011. The incidents included three cases each in Kihei and Wailuku, two cases in Waiehu, and once case each in Kaunakakai and Pukalani.

Three of the incidents were in Kihei, and two were in Lahaina. There was also reports of stolen vehicles in Kahului, Maalaea and Napili.Three of the vehicles stolen have since been recovered.

The Wailuku incidents were both reported at 5 p.m. on Thursday, November 10, at the Hawaii Nature Center in Iao Valley.

Vehicles Thefts on Maui Oct. 30 to Nov. 5, 2011

Two of the incidents were reported at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2011 on different sides of the island: a Toyota Tacoma was stolen from Manino Circle in Kihei; and a Mercedes Monterey was stolen from Lower Waiehu Beach Road in Waiehu. Both vehicles have since been recovered.

Types of vehicles involved included two Ford Rangers, a Ford Festiva, Jeep Wrangler, Chrysler mini van, and Dodge Charger.

The incidents included four cases in Kihei, two reports in Lahaina, and once case each in Kaanapali, Kahului, Lanai, Napili, Waiehu, and Wailea.

24 Maui Burglaries Reported Oct. 16-22, 2011

Maui police responded to 24 residential burglaries in the third week of October, from the 16th to 22nd. The incidents included six cases in Wailuku, and three each in Lahaina, Kihei and Kahului.

There were a total of 17 vehicle thefts and 10 vehicle break-ins on Maui in the third week of October. The incidents were spread over different areas of the island between October 16th and 22nd.

There were a total of 13 vehicle thefts and 14 vehicle break-ins on Maui in the second week of October. The highest concentration was in Kihei where four thefts and three break-ins were reported over six days.

The incidents included five cases in Kahului, and two each in Kihei and Waiehu. Cases also occurred in Kaunakakai, Kula, Maalaea, Makawao, and Wailuku.

A rash of vehicle break-ins were reported last week in two separate incidents in West Maui. A rash of vehicle break-ins were reported last week in two separate incidents in West Maui. Three cars were broken-into at around 3 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 3 at the Lahaina Wastewater Treatment plant; and another four vehicle break-ins reported just before 8 a.m. the following day on Limahana Place in Lahaina.

15 Burglaries on Maui in First Week of October

The incidents, reported between October 2 and 8, 2011, included five cases in Kahului, four in Kihei, and three in Wailuku. Cases also occurred in Kapalua, Lahaina and Napili.
