The University of Hawaiʻi Maui College Culinary Arts Program, in collaboration with Fairmont Kea Lani, presents the 24th Annual Noble Chef Gala on Saturday, April 5, 2025. As the premier fundraising event for UHMC’s Culinary Arts Program, Noble Chef celebrates the college’s legacy and future while raising essential funds to support culinary education.

The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua has launched the Kapalua Wine & Chef Series at Banyan Tree, offering exclusive monthly culinary experiences. Each event pairs award-winning wines with creative dishes from top chefs, including MICHELIN-starred talent.

Successful applicants will receive a $1600 scholarship which covers tuition for two Summer 2025 classes – Fundamentals of Cookery from June 2 to July 3, and Fundamentals of Baking from July 7 to Aug. 8.

Fairmont Kea Lani and Kō Restaurant present the Taste of Kapoho – a special fundraising dinner on Saturday, March 22, from 5 to 9 p.m., bringing together a culinary experience for a meaningful cause. This event supports the ongoing restoration of the Waihe‘e Coastal Dunes & Wetlands Refuge, an ecologically and culturally significant site stewarded by Ka Pōholima Kāʻeo under the sponsorship of Hawaiian Islands Land Trust.

The 44th Annual Kapalua Wine & Food Festival will return to The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua, July 10-13, 2025, featuring a star-studded weekend of world-class cuisine and exceptional wines.

The first-ever Lahaina Food & Wine Festival is set to debut Feb. 19-23, 2025, bringing together celebrated chefs, world-class wines, and unforgettable dining experiences in West Maui.

Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows will host an international pop-up dinner series themed for Maui as “A Culinary Journey Through Hawai‘i’s Cultural Heritage” with Emmy Award-winning TV personality Lanai Tabura.

Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea announced its newest culinary addition, KOMO. The intimate 50-seat restaurant, including its 14-seat interactive sushi bar, transforms a portion of the Resort’s lobby into a dining space featuring Japanese cuisine.

Fairmont Kea Lani is celebrating the anniversary of its Pilina bar and restaurant on Friday, Feb. 7, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. The free-entry event will feature musical entertainment, bespoke cocktails, complimentary tastings and culinary surprises for guests to enjoy.

All Pā‘ina Market outlets at UH Maui College are open this week from Tuesday through Thursday.

Maui Land & Pineapple Company, Inc. announced that Sale Pepe Pizzeria e Cucina will soon open their second location at Kapalua Resort after the 2023 wildfires claimed its original Front Street location.

Oao Sushi Go celebrated its grand opening on Dec. 8 at the Puʻunēnē Shopping Center in Kahului, Maui. Locally owned and operated by Chef Bernardo Oao Jr., Oao Sushi Go’s story began as a humble food truck serving innovative sushi dishes that quickly garnered a loyal following. The food truck’s success led to opening the first brick-and-mortar location in Wailea. With this second location, Chef Oao brings his vision and flavors of Oao Sushi Go to Central Maui.

Good news for lobster lovers. Maui Lobster King has opened at the Azeka Shopping Center in Kīhei.

Tanaka Ramen & Izakaya opened its fifth Hawaiʻi location at Maui Mall Village recently, bringing its flavorful menu of ramen, rice bowls, and izakaya dishes to Maui. Located near Center Court, next to Genki Sushi, across from the Regal Cinemas Maui Mall, the new restaurant has seating for up to 40 guests. A soft opening is underway with the official grand opening set for Jan. 6, 2025.

The Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort has announced a collaboration with trending brand PopUp Bagels as part of its holiday programming this year. 

Koast, a new restaurant coming to Wailea Village this winter, brings the star power of celebrity chef Chris Cosentino, a Top Chef Masters winner and James Beard Award nominee, to Maui’s culinary scene.

A new lunch spot has opened at The Historic Wailuku Inn, a century-old bed and breakfast in the heart of Wailuku town.

This holiday season, La Fête du Rosé wines will be available throughout the food and beverage venues at the Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort, thanks to a partnership with the prestigious wine brand.
