A Maui mainstay, Tiffany’s has been in business for close to two decades and has since gained a very loyal following – including the Simeons. When Chef Sheldon Simeon and his wife Janice Simeon learned that the Orite family was ready to hang up their hats, the pair jumped at the opportunity to keep the local favorite in operation.

Pedestrian crossing study launched for new Kīhei high school

A study has been launched to evaluate alternatives for a grade-separated pedestrian crossing at Pi‘ilani Highway to serve the new high school being built in Kīhei. 

Another Waiehu affordable housing project moves ahead — this one plans 752 units

Another affordable housing project is advancing in Waiehu, and this time the developer is pitching 752 units in a plan called Waiehu Residential Community. The 100% affordable housing project by California-based Genova Construction Development would build single- and multi-family units, retail space and parks on about 160 acres of overgrown macadamia nut fields mauka of Kahekili Highway near Waiehu Beach Road.
