Emergency Repairs in Pe‘ahi Require Power Outage Wednesday Night

Hawaiian Electric crews will need to make emergency repairs in the Peʻahi area requiring a scheduled outage affecting about 1,900 customers from Peʻahi to East Maui, this evening, Dec. 8, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. tomorrow. Customers in the Haʻikū area can expect to experience an initial outage between 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. tonight and again tomorrow morning between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. Times are dependent on the progress of work involved. 

Ha‘ikū Power Outage: Electricity Restored

Electrical service has been restored to all customers in the Haʻikū area. Customers still experiencing an outage, are asked to contact the Maui Electric Trouble Line at (808) 871-7777 or toll-free 1-877-871-8461 for Molokaʻi/Lānaʻi.

Maui Power Update 2: All Power Restored to Ha‘ikū Area

There is a power outage in the Ha‘ikū area. Maui Electric responders are en route.

Power Restored Following Outage in Parts of Haiku

Officials with Maui Electric Company say the outage is affecting areas of Haiku bounded by Haiku Road, Maliko Gulch, Haiku Hills Subdivision, Pauwela Road, Hana Highway, Kalanikahua Road, and lateral streets.
