The Hawai‘i Tourism Authority has issued its next round of requests for proposals for its community partnership programs.

Mokuʻula 360-degree film to show monthly in 2025; this month’s screening is Feb. 14

In response to public interest, the Lahaina Restoration Foundation will continue to screen E Hoʻi Ka Nani I Mokuʻula (Let the Glory Return to Mokuʻula) monthly at The Sphere at Maui Ocean Center in Wailuku throughout 2025. The next monthly screening of the film will take place on Feb. 14 at 6 p.m.

Mokuʻula, once the spiritual and political center of the Hawaiian Kingdom, is the subject of a groundbreaking 360-degree animated film that will have its first public showing on Friday, Nov. 15, 2024 at 6 p.m. at The Sphere at the Maui Ocean Center. The Lahaina Restoration Foundation presents the public premiere of E Hoʻi Ka Nani I Mokuʻula — Let the Glory Return to Mokuʻula, an evocative animated film that weaves together the powerful stories of the island’s royal past.

55th Annual Maui Marathon to return to West Maui in 2025

The Maui Marathon Committee today announced the return of the Maui Marathon to Kāʻanapali in 2025. The 55th annual event, which includes the 26.2-mile race along with the Half Marathon, 10k and 5k Run/Walks, will take place on April 27, 2025.

20 Maui County Events and Programs Awarded HTA Funding

Twenty events and programs focused on community enrichment in Maui County were selected by the Hawaiʻi Tourism Authority to receive funding awards for the 2020 calendar year.
