Maui County will host two public aerial firework displays this year—one at the Grand Wailea Resort and another at the Four Seasons Resort Lānaʻi—according to an announcement from the Maui Fire Department. Both displays begin at approximately 11:59 p.m. on New Yearʻs Eve, Dec. 31, 2024.

The Fourth of July weekend at the Four Seasons Resort Lānaʻi features performances by musical artists, pop-up appearances by renowned chefs and a fireworks display.

Maui fire fighters responded to 10 fires, and three fireworks related injuries during the New Year’s holiday between 8 p.m. on New Year’s Eve and 3 a.m. on New Year’s Day, Jan. 1, 2023.

Maui police issued two fireworks violation citations over the Christmas weekend.

Maui police issued three citations for fireworks violations during a Forth of July enforcement detail held over the weekend. Police also generated 18 cases and recovered 26 aerial fireworks that were submitted as evidence.
