The County of Maui Department of Liquor Control office will be closed for a half-day to accommodate department training, starting at 12:30 p.m. Friday, April 25, 2025.

The County of Maui Department of Liquor Control is reminding liquor license holders that license renewal applications for the 2024-2025 fiscal year are due by 4:30 p.m. June 17. Licenses that are not renewed by the deadline will expire on June 30, 2024.

The Count of Maui Department of Liquor Control will begin accepting license renewal applications starting Monday, April 1, 2024. Applications may be submitted from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at the department’s office located at the County of Maui Service Center in Kahului, 110 Ala‘ihi Street, Room 212.

The Maui County Department of Liquor Control will offer its certification exam and class on April 21 in Lahaina.

The finalists are Peter Hanano, Thomas P. Higgins, Timothy R. Poindexter and Layne N. Silva. They will be interviewed at a special meeting of the Liquor Control Commission on Oct. 14, 2020.

The Committee for Responsible Liquor Control and a Maui resident filed a lawsuit asking the court to invalidate recent actions of the Liquor Control Commission.

Dozens of Businesses Temporarily Halt Alcohol Sales Due to Late Filing: There were about 30 businesses that failed to submit their gross sales reports from the previous year by the July 31, 2015 deadline.
