The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning from noon today through Saturday afternoon for mainly leeward areas due to windy conditions and low humidity.

HECO ends Public Safety Power Shutoff watch as Red Flag Warning is canceled

With the cancellation of the National Weather Service’s Red Flag Warning for all Hawaiian Islands at 3:34 p.m., Hawaiian Electric has ended its Public Safety Power Shutoff watch.

Customers in high wildfire risk areas urged to still prepare for possible power shutoffs

Hawaiian Electric continues to closely monitor weather conditions particularly for leeward portions of all Hawaiian islands and interior sections of Hawai‘i Island where a Red Flag Warning remains in effect through 6 p.m. If necessary to protect public safety, Hawaiian Electric may implement its Public Safety Power Shutoff program to proactively shut off power in communities with high exposure to wildfire risk. 

HIEMA alerts public to extension of Red Flag Warning: extreme fire danger conditions continue

The Hawaiʻi Emergency Management Agency (HIEMA) is alerting the public that the National Weather Service (NWS) in Honolulu is extending the Red Flag Warning for portions of the state through 6 p.m. Saturday, based on current observations and model guidance.

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect until 6 p.m. HST, Friday, and possibly into Saturday. The affected areas include leeward portions of all Hawaiian Islands and interior sections of the Big Island.

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for leeward areas of all islands due to gusty winds and low relative humidity. The warning remains in effect until 6 p.m. Thursday.

The Red Flag Warning is in effect from 10 a.m. today to 6 p.m. Monday. Relative humidity is forecast to be as low as 40% and will reach its lowest during the afternoon hours.
