A new report from the Carnegie Foundation highlights how UH schools are expanding access to higher education—and helping students succeed after graduation.

Enrollment at the University of Hawaiʻi Maui College is up 6% from the last fall, for a total of 2,792 students, according to the University of Hawaiʻi System.

The University of Hawaiʻi and State of Hawaiʻi have committed $5 million in the 2024-25 Hawaiʻi Promise Scholarship fund to help prospective and current UH Community College students afford and access higher education.

The University of Hawai‘i Community Colleges and Hawai‘i P-20 Partnerships for Education are once again offering the “Next Steps to Your Future” program to support Hawaiʻi’s Class of 2021 public high school seniors.

The University of Hawaiʻi has extended the deadline to Dec. 29 to apply for admissions for the spring 2021 semester to one of its seven community colleges.

“We know many of their plans were disrupted, so the University of Hawaiʻi is offering free summer Career Exploration classes to help them develop new plans and take the next steps toward their goals.”

Today, the University of Hawaiʻi Board of Regents approved UH President David Lassner’s proposal to reduce tuition increases for resident undergraduate students for both the 2015-16 and 2016-17 academic years.

The University of Hawai’i has a total of seven community colleges, including the UH Maui College campus in Kahului, which had a total enrollment of 4,097 students in the fall of 2013.
