Eight Trusted Testing Partners Identified for Inter-County Pre-Travel

Governor David Ige today announced eight trusted testing partners for inter-county travel in Hawaiʻi. The list includes: Clinical Laboratories of Hawaiʻi, CVS Health (Longs), Hawaiʻi Pacific Health, Kaiser Permanente (for members only), Minit Medical, Walgreens, Urgent Care Hawaiʻi and Vault Health.

Circuit Court Judge Wendy M. DeWeese has dismissed a legal challenge to the Governor’s COVID-19 emergency proclamations. Governor David Ige signed a Fourteenth Supplementary Emergency Proclamation related to the state’s COVID-19 emergency on Oct. 13.

Molina Asks Mayor to Extend the H.E.L.P. Assistance Program

Councilmember Michael J. Molina transmitted a request to the mayor on Thursday, seeking to extend the Hawaiʻi Emergency Laulima Partnership or H.E.L.P. program to Dec. 31, 2020 and increase the appropriation by adding $3 million to the program.

Gov. Ige Signs 14th Proclamation: Two Days to Go Until Launch of Hawai‘i’s Pre-Travel Testing

The new document extends the mandatory 14-day quarantine for all incoming travelers; however, beginning Oct. 15, a pre-travel testing option will allow travelers an alternative to the mandatory 14-day quarantine.

Earlier today, Maui Mayor Michael Victorino said the 11 cases from today’s count are actually two months old and were recently confirmed as linked to the surge at the Roselani Place assisted living facility in Kahului from August. Hawai‘i’s COVID-19 death toll increased to 173, with three new deaths on O‘ahu and one on Maui, reported since yesterday.
