Maui actor Eric Gilliom will soon debut an all-new original one-man theatrical show. 

Here’s a list of events happening on Maui this weekend.

In celebration of newly-released songbook, “Lei Nāhonoapiʻilani: Songs of West Maui,” Maui’s best entertainers, vocalists, musicians, kumu hula, and hālau hula present their collective aloha for the wahi pana (special places) of West Maui, through mele, hula, and storytelling at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center Castle Theater, at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2019.

Mauiʻs south shore will be bustling with live music and a host of activities on Friday for the Kīhei town party. 

Three-time Grammy winner Steve Earle will be returning to Maui for a ‘Solo Sessions’ concert at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center. 

Grammy-winning American folk band The Kingston Trio will perform at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center on Dec. 20 at 7:30 p.m. 

Performances are slated for Sept. 26, 27, and 28 at 7:30 p.m., as well as Sept. 29 at 3 p.m. 

Monday is National Fall Awareness Day. 

An art organization in Lahaina is seeking additional teachers and funding for its children’s art programs.

Based on the novel by Charles Webb and the iconic 1967 film of the same name, “The Graduate” is a “bitterly hilarious” dark comedy that follows the life of the young, disillusioned Benjamin Braddock.

The Nisei Veterans Memorial Center announced the opening of its exhibit, The Forgotten War Revisited. The exhibit will be open to the public Monday Sept. 23 to Friday, Dec. 27, 2019 on Mondays through Fridays between noon and 4 p.m.

The Maui Okinawan Kenjin Kai, along with co-sponsor Queen Kaʻahumanu Center, will hold its Maui Okinawan Festival on Saturday, Sept. 21, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

For the 11th year consecutive year, cancer patients, survivors and supporters will gather at Hanakaʻōʻō Beach and traverse the ʻAuʻau Channel to the shores of Mānele Bay on Lānaʻi.

The winners have been announced for the 14th Annual Kū Mai Ka Hula Competition, held on Saturday, Sept. 14 in the Castle Theater at Maui Arts & Cultural Center.

The show will begin at 7 p.m. at the Yokouchi Pavilion & Courtyard. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. 

The main festival will be held on Sept. 29 at 1 p.m. at the MACCʻs A&B Amphitheatre. ʻUkulele lessons will be offered on Sept. 28.

Eli Mac returns to Maui for one night at Mulligans On The Blue on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2019 with opening guests Rabbitt.  Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m.

The Maui Sunday Market runs from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. every Sunday in the Kahului Shopping Center parking lot and features a variety of food and product vendors.
