Fresh produce will be distributed on Lanaʻi to families impacted by COVID-19 on Wednesday, Nov. 18. The distribution will take place from 1 to 2 pm, or until supplies run out.

Break-in of Maui Mobile Hygiene Unit That Serves Unsheltered Homeless Community

A mobile hygiene unit used by unsheltered homeless in South Maui was broken into yesterday, with many items stolen, rendering the unit inoperable, according to the Ka Hale A Ke Ola Homeless Resource Centers. The organization estimates that damages and loss at $10,000 and possibly more.

California Man Seriously Injured in Fall at “Bamboo Forest” in Kailua, Maui

Nov. 16, 2020 COVID-19 Update: 95 New Cases (76 O‘ahu, 8 Hawai‘i Island, 7 Maui, 2 Kaua‘i, 2 Out of State)

There were 95 new COVID-19 cases in Hawai‘i today, including 76 on O‘ahu, eight on Hawai‘i Island, seven on Maui, two on Kaua‘i and two in Hawai‘i residents diagnosed outside of the state. The Maui cases included: three new cases in Kīhei, two in Wailuku and one each in Kahului and Kula.  One case was removed from Lahaina in the latest mapping updates provided by the state Department of Health.

82,600 Pounds of Debris and Trash Removed From Papahānaumokuākea Marine National Monument 

More than 82,600 pounds of marine debris and trash were removed during a 16-day cleanup project at Lalo (French Frigate Shoals) within Papahānaumokuākea Marine National Monument.
