State Adds “Trusted Partners” for Domestic Trans-Pacific, Inter-County Pre-Travel Testing Program

The State of Hawai‘i has added new trusted partners for its domestic transpacific and inter-county pre-travel testing programs. The state will accept COVID-19 test results from the new partners starting Nov. 17.

There were 108 new COVID-19 cases in Hawai‘i today, including 90 on O‘ahu, 12 on Hawai‘i Island, one on Maui, three on Kaua‘i and two in Hawai‘i residents diagnosed outside of the state. Lānaʻi and Moloka‘i had no new cases on Friday.

There were 110 new COVID-19 cases in Hawai‘i on Friday, including 92 on O‘ahu, eight on Hawai‘i Island, one on Maui, two on Kaua‘i and seven in Hawai‘i residents diagnosed outside of the state. Lānaʻi and Moloka‘i had no new cases on Friday.

St. Anthony School to Hold Hybrid Fundraising Event This Saturday, Nov. 14

St. Anthony School will host its 2020 fundraising gala in a hybrid – in-person and online – format on Saturday, Nov. 14 from 12 to 2 p.m. The virtual portion of the event is free to stream and will allow guests to participate in what is usually a 200 person event at the King Kamehameha Golf Club. The in-person portion of the fundraiser consists of a limited seating, VIP luncheon at the new Wailea Kitchen.

Maui Police Issue 264 Citations for Mask Violations Over Two Weeks

Maui Police issued 264 citations for face mask violations over a two week period between Oct. 30 and Nov. 12.  County officials say 209 were issued to residents and 55 were to visitors.

The Molokaʻi Real Property Assessment office is temporarily closed due to staffing shortage from Nov. 13-20, 2020. The office is located at the Mitchell Pauʻole Center in Kaunakakai.

Representative Justin H. Woodson (D-9, Kahului, Pu‘unēnē, Old Sand Hills, Maui Lani), Chair of the House Education Committee, said families with young children desperately need more early learning choices. House Bill 2543 (Act 46) establishes the goal of providing access to early learning by 2032 to all children who are 3 to 4 years old.

There were 97 new COVID-19 cases in Hawai‘i today, including 72 on O‘ahu, 15 on Hawai‘i Island, six on Maui, one on Kaua‘i and three in Hawai‘i residents diagnosed outside of the state. The cases on Maui included one case each in Kahului, Wailuku, Kīhei and Makawao, and two cases in Haʻikū, according to map changes recorded by the state Department of Health.

Haleakalā National Park is now accepting Commercial Use Authorization (CUA) applications for guided astronomy tours and hiking tours. Up to four astronomy tour permits and up to six guided hiking tour permits will be issued.

Hyatt Regency Maui, Andaz, Hāna-Maui Resort, Wailea Beach Villas Resume Operations

Two Maui properties, the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa in Kāʻanapali and Wailea Beach Villas, A Destination Hotel, opened on Oct. 15. On Nov. 1, the Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort began welcoming guests back; and next week Friday, Nov. 20, the Hāna-Maui Resort is slated to open.
