One of the most interesting aspects of the current activity in Halemaʻumaʻu is the occasional oozing of lava around the edges of the entire crater while the lava surface is rising. Has that phenomenon been reported before in any accounts of previous Kīlauea activity?

April 3, 2021 COVID-19 Update: 112 Cases (72 O‘ahu, 24 Maui, 9 Hawai‘i Island, 1 Kaua‘i, 6 Out-of-State); 4 Deaths
The state Department of Health reports that there were 112 additional COVID-19 cases reported in Hawai‘i on Saturday, including 72 on O‘ahu, 24 on Maui, nine on Hawai‘i Island, one on Kaua‘i and six in Hawai‘i residents diagnosed while out of state. There were a total of 1,282 cases logged over the past two weeks, 363 of them in Maui County.

Vaccine Passport Proposal Faces Challenges; Maui Mayor Hopeful for Second Test Proposal
Just days after submitting a proposal for a pilot vaccine passport program for Maui, Mayor Michael Victorino said it does not appear promising after further discussion with the governor. “It doesn’t look like he’ll approve the (vaccine) passport, but that hasn’t been confirmed,” said Mayor Victorino during a press briefing on Thursday afternoon.
