$775,000 to Assist with Axis Deer Management in Maui County
The County of Maui Department of Housing and Human Concerns has awarded six grants totaling $775,000 to assess and manage feral animal populations, including axis deer, throughout Maui County.

March 15, 2021 COVID-19 Update: 46 Cases (22 O‘ahu, 15 Maui, 7 Hawai‘i Island; 2 Out-of-State)
The state Department of Health reports that there were 46 additional COVID-19 cases reported in Hawai‘i on Monday, including 22 on O‘ahu, 15 on Maui, seven on Hawai‘i Island, and two in Hawai‘i residents diagnosed out of state. There were a total of 693 cases logged over the past two weeks, 242 of them on Maui.

On March 1, MEO began a special route to help West End residents get their mail in Hoʻolehua. An MEO bus runs Mondays and Thursdays, leaving Misaki’s in Kaunakakai at 10:30 a.m. The bus travels to the Hoʻolehua Post Office then to Maunaloa and Kaluakoi.
