Hale Mahaolu planned redevelopment of Front Street Apartments, meeting Oct. 15

Hale Mahaolu, a nonprofit affordable housing provider, has announced plans to redevelop the Front Street Apartments, which are owned by the Hawai‘i Housing Finance and Development Corporation. The redevelopment project is expected to provide 240 units of family housing for Maui residents.

Hawai‘i Energy, Hawaiian Council provide no-cost appliances for Maui wildfire recovery

Hawaiʻi Energy, the state’s energy conservation program, in partnership with the Hawaiian Council, has launched the Maui Residential Rebuild Program, aimed at helping wildfire-impacted Lahaina residents rebuild their homes sustainably and affordably.

With the transportation of debris from the Lahaina fire to its permanent site in Central Maui nearing completion, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has begun preparations to restore the land used for the temporary debris location in Olowalu.
