Kaiser Permanente’s two mobile health vehicles will continue to operate at the Royal Lahaina Resort, but at a new location at the tennis courts, starting on Monday, Nov. 27.

Maui Disaster Area Restrictions lifted for Zones 11C and 12B on Nov. 27-28

County of Maui Disaster Area Restrictions will be lifted for owners and residents with vehicle passes from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 27-28, in Zones 11C and 12B.

Maui Disaster Area Restrictions lifted for Zone 6D, Limahana Circle on Nov. 24-25

County of Maui Disaster Area Restrictions will be lifted for owners and residents with vehicle passes from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning Friday and Saturday, Nov. 24-25, in Zone 6D. This includes portions of Limahana Circle.

Portion of Lahaina removed from Unsafe Water Advisory area 

The Department of Water Supply amended the Unsafe Water Advisory for Lahaina to remove areas L-3A and L-3B. Water serving buildings and homes in areas L-3A and L-3B is declared safe for unrestricted use effective Nov. 20, 2023. Community members can search an address using the interactive Water Advisory Map to confirm if their address is outside or within the advisory area. 

Up to 700 Maui wildfire survivors to get help through Interim Disaster Case Management Program

This interim DCMP is funded by the American Red Cross for 90 days and will provide 20 dedicated case managers who will be able to help support up to 700 individuals. Once finalized, the FEMA-supported DCMP will expand to provide support to all survivors for up to two years.

County of Maui Disaster Area Restrictions will be lifted from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 20 and 21, for owners and residents with vehicle passes in Zones 7B, 7C, 7D and 7E.

The first meeting takes place on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2023, at the Kula Elementary School cafeteria. The meetings continue at 6 p.m. every Thursday in November and December as debris cleanup progresses, with the exception of holidays, such as Thanksgiving, Nov. 23, 2023.

County of Maui Disaster Area Restrictions will be lifted on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 17 and 18, for owners and residents with vehicle passes in Zones 6B and 7A.

Disaster Area Restrictions to be lifted for Zones 1D, 5G, 10F, 14E, 15B and 15C in West Maui

County of Maui Disaster Area Restrictions have been lifted for several rural land zones as of 8 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 13, 2023, including: 1D, 10F, 14E, 15B, and 15C. Reentry for zone 5G (E. Kuu Aku Lane) is only for areas within the zone that were not affected by the fire. Supported reentry for residents in fire-affected units is expected to be held next week.

One of three reentry vehicle pass locations briefly moves to MACC

On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 14 through 16, 2023, Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement’s Kākoʻo Maui Relief and Aid Services office, which distributes county reentry vehicle passes, will move from Maui Mall Village to Maui Arts & Cultural Center. 

MEO handling fire grants for businesses with $300,000 revenues or less

The Maui Business Bridge Grant that provides financial support to businesses directly or indirectly impacted by the August wildfires began accepting applications today, Nov. 13, with Maui Economic Opportunity working with establishments of $300,000 in gross revenue or less.

Maui Wellness Group, LLC gets approval as medical cannabis retail dispensary

The Hawai‘i State Department of Health has issued a formal notice to proceed for Maui Wellness Group, LLC, dba Maui Grown Therapies after it passed its final on-site inspection for its fourth retail facility. Maui Grown Therapies’ new retail site is located at 1215 South Kīhei Road D-2 in Kīhei, and the company expects to begin sales on Friday, Nov. 17, 2023.

Maui Business Bridge Grant accepting applications now

This Maui Business Bridge Grant program is now accepting applications. The purpose of this grant program is to support Maui-based businesses that have been directly or indirectly impacted by the Aug. 8, 2023 Lahaina and Upcountry wildfires.

Maui Relief TANF Program for families impacted by fires up and running, accepting applications

Families with dependent children in their household, directly and indirectly impacted by the wildfires and earning less than 350% of the poverty level (which for a family of four is $120,750 annually) are eligible for the benefits.

The US Small Business Administration acts as a vital source for low-interest disaster loans for Maui wildfire survivors, covering losses not fully compensated by insurance.

A community meeting to discuss ongoing wildfire debris removal and recovery efforts will be held tonight, Thursday, Nov. 9 in Makawao.  The meeting runs from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Mayor Eddie Tam Complex Community Center, located at 931 Makawao Avenue.
