Maintenance on water storage and distribution system in Wailea, Feb. 24 to March 21

Residents, visitors and businesses in certain areas of Wailea are being asked to conserve water from Feb. 24 to March 21, 2025, while maintenance is being done by the County of Maui Department of Water Supply. 

Water shutdown to impact portion of Kīhei on Thursday

Allen’s Plumbing will be performing work on the County’s water system, starting Thursday, May 30, 2024. The work will result in a water shutdown for a portion of Kīhei from approximately 9 p.m. Thursday, May 30 to 5 a.m. Friday, May 31, 2024.

Pukalani water service disruption, May 9-10

A portion of homes in the Pukalani area will have their water service disrupted beginning 9 p.m. Thursday, May 9, to 5 a.m. Friday, May 10, 2024.

500 Customers Affected by Pukalani Water Outage

The Department of Water Supply is reporting a water outage today in Pukalani from Aina Lani Drive to Keikilani Street because of a break in an 8-inch main waterline. The break occurred in a remote and difficult-to-reach gulch below Kamehameha Schools.

West Maui Customers Urged to Conserve Water Through Aug. 6

West Maui residents and businesses served by the County of Maui Department of Water Supply are reminded to voluntarily conserve water while the Mahinahina Water Treatment Facility undergoes upgrades. The facility is expected to be back online no later than Aug. 6, 2021.

Water Shut-Down Affecting Kahului, Nov. 24-25

Tom’s Backhoe & Excavation and the Maui Department of Water Supply will be performing work on the County’s water system that will result in a water shutdown for part of Kahului from Tuesday night, Nov. 24 to Wednesday morning, Nov. 25, 2020. 

Water Repair Work on L. Honoapi‘ilani Road in Honokōwai

The work has resulted in a southbound lane closure of the Lower Honoapiʻilani Road from Honokōwai Beach Park to Nā Hono Place. Crews estimate the closure will remain in effect for about eight hours.

Water Mainline Break Impacts Traffic on Front St, Lahaina

The repairs have resulted in the temporary closure of Front Street from Baker Street to Kenui Street from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today.

Water Mainline Break in Pāʻia

The Maui Department of Water Supply is repairing a waterline break at the intersection of the Hāna Highway and Baldwin Avenue in Pāʻia.

Emergency Water Source Set up in Wākiu, Hāna

Due to pumping issues, water customers in the Wākiu area, Hāna School, Hāna Medical Center, Waiʻānapanapa area, and ʻUakea Road will be provided drinking water from an emergency source beginning on Monday, Dec. 19, 2016, for a period of up to six months.
