#half marathon

Runners will be using the shoulders of Honoapiʻilani Highway (Route 30) and Kahekili Highway (Route 340) for the Kahakuloa Half Marathon on Saturday, June 6. The event will be from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and start at D.T. Fleming Beach Park on Lower Honoapiʻilani Highway in Kapalua. It will then connect with the county-owned portion of Kahekili Highway and proceed to Kahakuloa Village.

Runners and walkers from across the US and beyond took off at sunrise from staggered start lines in the Maui Marathon, half marathon, 10K and 5K races in Kāʻanapali on Sunday. Participants traveled the scenic out-and-back course, passing energetic aid stations before finishing among cheering spectators.

Elite distance runner Jordan Hogan, one of the most accomplished American marathoners of the past decade, will take part in the 56th annual Maui Marathon race weekend, including community meet-and-greet opportunities and competition in the half marathon.

The Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation is advising highway users to use caution and expect delays on Saturday, March 14, as the Valley to the Sea Half Marathon and associated races will run through Wailuku, Māʻalaea and Kīhei. Police will assist with traffic control.

The 55th Annual Maui Marathon, set for Sunday, April 27, 2025 is returning to West Maui with an expanded Health & Fitness Expo aimed at supporting local businesses and promoting wellness. 

The Maui Oceanfront Marathon will be held on Jan. 19, 2025, the Martin Luther King weekend, with a revised course that avoids Lahaina burn zones and ends outside of Launiupoko Beach Park, race organizers announced.

The 50th annual live Maui Marathon will be Sunday, April 24, 2022 and drivers should expect traffic delays, road closures and re-routing throughout the morning of the event and until approximately 1:30 p.m.
